MMOG Currency Revolution

"Massively Multiplayer Online Game currencies was first introduced from the popular game EQ (EQ) with their currency ""platinum"", also known as ""plat"". Since the first pioneers of selling plats on Ebay, many have argued and frowned upon those that have ever purchased plats online. I recall many players harassing others with foul names such as ""newbie"" and ""ebayer"". It has been over 5 years that everyone has been arguing whether the secondary market of trading Massively Multiplayer Online Game gold would ever be recognized. Since the introduction of EQ platinum, there were probably more than 70% of players that wouldn’t even consider purchasing plats and discriminated against those who did. As of today, the numbers have been reduced extraordinarily. About 40% of the players now purchase currencies, 30% still disliking the idea and 30% of the other players probably does not care too much and may purchase some them selves in the near future. Although online game currency is still a new trend to the online gaming community, it is getting popular at a very hasty rate. Within the end of 2010, I conceive even the publishers themselves will support the foundation of the secondary market. Sony Online Entertainment (SOE) have now begun their own EQ 2 gold sell system and planning to start a new Massive Multiplayer Online Role Play Games in which they intend to sell currencies and items themselves. With their support, I’m sure the secondary market will be recognized over a period of time. The secondary market is only as successful as the primary. With the release of World of Warcraft (WoW), there are now more than 4.5 million subscribers. A vast majority of those players are probably new to the Massive Multiplayer Online Role Play Games world. wow gold A large increase of subscribers means alot more potential for the secondary market.
So far, World of Warcraft gold has been the hottest seller of the year and perhaps a few more years down the way. With the huge demand on, many players have even started a career in which they collect gold, items and other virutal assets and sell them to players or to stores who may buy them at wholesale price and resell it backwards to individuals. wow gold The secondary market one day may even be large than the primary. Many gamers of today probably spend more on buying currencies, items and equipments than their subscription fee. The publishers themselves can't even deny the certainty that there are lots of gold to be made in the secondary market that over a vast period of time I'm sure they will be selling their virtual assets themselves. mp3 As for whether the players will support it or not, I conceive is just a matter of time before espousal, of course there will ever be a few who will dislike the idea. If you're ever interested in purchasing World of Warcraft Gold or EQ Platinum check out Team-VIP.com. " "The following is a list of mounts available in the game. wow gold Mounts are associated with a specific race and are available to other races if the player has achieved Exhalted reputation with that race's capital city. For example, for a Dwarf to purchase a Night Elf mount, he or she must have Exhalted reputation with the Night Elf city of Darnassus. There are two types of mounts. buy wow gold The first is available at level 40 and gives a 60% speed increase and the second is available at level 60 and gives a 100% speed increase. Note that the costs for each are different. In order to ride a mount, a player must first purchse the riding skill for that type of mount, which costs 20 gold.
wow gold The strong bond between the humans of Azeroth and their warhorses has existed for generations. However, since the fall of Lordaeron, only select varieties continue to be bred throughout Alliance-controlled lands.

1-300 Lockpicking Guide

"I thought I would post this since I get asked as a rogue all the time what the easiest way to level up your lockpicking is. I have tips for both horde and alliance to get your lockpicking from 1-300 pretty easy. Having it at 300 is the best thing because you don't need to worry about keys for doors, there are exceptions though. Since the keyring was added keys don't take up space, but you could still pick a lock before you get the key, like the searing gorge key. In addition to the steps below, make sure you pickpocket any humanoids that you can, hopefully they'll drop chests. If you can't open it up then save it for when you are at that skill so you have a fast boost. There is also footlockers in various locations that you can use for skill ups. You can also sit in town and open boxes for people. You don't get much business this way but it does help you level for free. Step 1 : (About 1-75) Do the Inital Rogue lockpicking quest Horde: This entails feeding a parrot a cracker close to ratchet, then unlocking the chests on the boat. You want to do this until the chests are grey to you, and ya, its going to take a while. Alliance: You're going to go to the tower in Lakeshire and open them up until they're grey to you as well. Step 2 : (About 75-175) Poison Quest Horde: Little known trick, while doing this quest in the NW barrens in the Venture Co. area is a chest at the top of a tower... Repeat what you did in Step 1. Open that chest until it goes grey... That'll help get you passed or up to 175 Alliance: Similar to Horde.
While in the tower at Westfall keep opening the chest at the top until you reach about 175. May be hard if the boss aggro's you so bring a friend or level up. The chest will curse you everytime you open it so if you do this after the initial quest you have to get a cleanse. Step 3 : (About 175-250) Scarlet Monestary (see step 4 if to hard) Horde and Alliance: You can first start with unlocking the door into the instances but this can only be done about every 10 minutes per door. If you don't wait then it doesn't count as skill up. So just pick them then run into the Cathedral. Jump into the left locked door and into the cathedral instance. wow gold Sneak up, or run if you can avoid being aggro'd, and pick the cathedral door then run out and reset. If you find you are too low to start on the door because you are too lazy, jump into the first instance and pickpocket everything in there. This is of course, making sure you have your stealth maxed to avoid detection. wow gold You can repeat that as many times as needed, but if you followed step 1 and 2, the cathedral door will get you to 250. This step can take longer than when I originally did it since you can only reset an instance 5 times an hour. Step 4 : (About 250-280) Pickpocketed Boxes or Various Footlockers Horde and Alliance: Like mentioned at the top, when you pickpocket mobs and they drop boxes you can't open yet, save them and when you can open them you'll get a big fast boost. wow power leveling Once I opened up the SM doors to 250 I had heavy lockboxes I used and got 20 free points.
Pickpocket and lockpick them until your heart is content. Although SM is more effective cause of the respawn, it is better then getting pummled by elite's. mp3 players You also want to go around to zones that are within your level range and find footlockers. Step 5 : (About 280-300) Black Rock Depths Horde and Alliance: All you have to do now is lockpick inside BRD until 300. What you do is go into BRD and turn left and open up the 3 doors. wow gold Rinse and Repeat until 300. You get a max of 3 skill ups per run. " "I don't have to make fun of the possibilities of becoming addicted to World of Warcraft to the point of forgetting your real life and building a toilet to substitute as a desk chair so you won't have to interrupt raids for bathroom breaks, as enough people have demonstrated such behavior in reality. wow gold Rather, I direct you to laugh about it instead, with The Onion's take of the future of WoW: World of World of Warcraft. You might be laughing, but would people buy it. I can't help but think some people might.

World of Warcraft: grouping and soloing in Wrath of the Lich King

"There are quite a number of players who are concerned most the solo content in Blizzard's World of Warcraft, especially when the developers release Wrath of the Lich King. Community Manager Bornakk addressed these concerns saying that the game already has a lot of solo content as it is. He mentioned that because of this, they decided to focus on adding more variety to the game. A move which lead them to focus on group content: You can level up to the max level, go through every zone, complete the vast majority of quests, enter battlegrounds and continually do a number of daily quests without ever grouping up with other players - but adding more variety to the game is important to a lot of people and that is where the 5 person and then 10/25 person raid dungeons come into play. This doesn't mean that the developers are ignoring the casual and solo-oriented players. On the contrary, the developers feel that the new content will be reachable enough for these two groups to enjoy as well. So before we go, here's what Bornakk have to say: I understand your desire for this, but grouping up is an important part of the game, our goal with the 10 person raids is to making the raiding content feel a little less exclusive to players, but if you want to see everything then you would need to take on the challenges of every characteristic of the game. Naturally, people are beauty worked up most the Death Knight existence released. However, many don't seem to understand exactly how unlocking it is going to work. This is what Blizzard has said so far: In order to unlock the Death Knight, you must perform a series of quests similar to the Onyxia key chain or the Warlock mount quest. This chain will begin somewhere between level 55 and level 70, as Blizzard doesn't want people rushing to level 80 purely so they can play as a Death Knight.
When you have completed these quests, you will be healthy to create a Death Knight feature that is pre-leveled to at least level 50 (exact value not confirmed). Your old feature WILL NOT be consumed, or augmented, or anything like that. See the section on the Death Knight here to see Blizzard's confirmation of this. The Death Knight is a tank hybrid, similar to Paladin in that it is a tanking caster, but different in that it focuses on dark damaging spells whereas the Paladin is focused more on holy and healing aspects. The Death Knight utilizes a new ""Rune"" system, different from Rage, Mana, and Energy. wow gold ""When you are out of combat, you can switch your active runes around a few types; you have 6 rune slots. Abilities will put certain rune types on cooldowns or may even use multiple runes. Thus, what runes you choose change how your deathknight plays in combat."" There are three rune types: Blood, unholy, and frost. wow gold Information found here. Death Knights will not use shields, but can dual wield as well as use the standard two-handed weapons. They can put on plate fit. wow " "The thing I love most most summer is the thunder storms. Forget the constant days of 90 degree weather making my housing bake even when the expose conditioning is on, it's those storms rolling in with lightening striking a few hundred feet from me that I love. My guild-mates are going to love that too, especially when I'm raiding with them. We've have our first couple weeks of this in game, and already I've heard ""Be right backwards, Tornado,"" from some guildies living down in Kansas. wow gold Luckily everything was okay and no one got hurt, but the certainty still remains – we lost our head Mage for 30 minutes, and that's 30 minutes of our life we can't have backwards! While a Mage having to take a break in the middle of raids isn't a show stopper, having the heaved tank (my role) go offline is.
I've have the unfortunate situation of having that occur a couple days past. The computer I was raiding on wasn't plugged into my UPS (Uninterruptable Power Supply), so I was disconnected from everything when we lost power for most 30 seconds. mp3 player However with a taste of tinkering around, I was healthy to put myself in a situation that lets me stay on even when the power hiccups. What I was healthy to do was to plug into the UPS only the essential things my heaved computer needs to stay online. This included my CPU (the bounteous box where most of the computer's hardware is stored), my monitor, my cable modem, and my router. That filled up every four spots acquirable on my UPS. wow gold I tried this quickly one evening when the power went out hasty on. When it went out again later that evening, my other computers got cut, but the computer I was playing WoW on kept going – along with the internet connection.

Gamers are not lonely losers

"Gamers seem to get a lot of intense press. From controversial episodes in the hasty days of Dungeons and Dragons to WoW addictions that are more shameful than online porn. Anyone who doesn't know us might actually conceive that we're 10 million level-dwelling social troglodytes. The dweller Medical Association is even considering the constituent of video game addictions to their bounteous book of mental problems (also known as the Diagnostic Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders). A new study by Victoria University found just the opposite. They found that most 15% of their 621 participants certificated as problem gamers, that is they spent more than 50 hours a week playing games. Even among that 15 percent, only one percent showed signs of poor social skills. While there are some who have a major problem gaming craving most of us are normal people who unwind with a video game. The researchers concluded that public opinion of gamers is largely driven by stereotypes than existent certainty. Sure, non-gamers don't understand why 2 hours of game time is considered casual, but for the life of me I don't understand why people plop in front of prime-time TV every night or skip out of perfectly well airplanes. It's a matter of perspective, which is largely driven by popular media. I conceive that as the gamer community continues to grow and becomes more mainstream, public opinion may shift. John Loton, the communicator of the study was quoted as saying ""I think it's an evolution of social and cultural stereotypes that suggest only nerds and geeks play computer games. The reality is that nowadays everyone is playing video games."" With every of the intense press, it's exciting to see a tale that doesn't demonize online gamers. I'd like to see more studies that show who gamers truly are. It's no longer staggering to discover that a public figure logs in to WoW.
wow gold Now, I bring up the income for this specific reason. I can save gold hanging out with my WoW friends, instead of going and getting drunk at a stupid forbid. Of course, I don't exclude myself every the time, but, a night at the forbid can run $50-100. wow gold VS a night on WoW, that's, like, $0.20. And just as much fun, and much less negative results. 47 hours a week with my friends OFF WoW. Should you say I'm chronic to my friends instead. cheap wow gold " " I've recently been pondering if, and when, I should retire from raiding. Playing with 24 other people to fulfill a common goal is a wonderful thing. The teamwork and exhilaration from downing a boss for the first time is something that's difficult to put into words – it's fun, challenging, frustrating, and every around a great time. But when is it a well time to stop. wow gold Everything eventually gets old and dies. Yes, one day our loved WoW will no longer exist; even though that might be a couple decades from now (though I have my doubts WoW will ever truly go off-line, but that's added article). What I want to be sure happens is that I leave this state I love so much on a high note – and not leave when it's embellish a pain and something that I'll look backwards disfavorably upon. Right now my life allows me to raid. mp3 players I have classes and WoW Insider work during the day, and at night I have time to raid for a few hours and hang out with the girlfriend and other folks as well. That strikes a well equilibrise in life – allowing both things that I want to do by myself (WoW), and things that I want do with others (girlfriend, friends, etc...) If that equilibrise were to ever change where I'd have to sacrifice something at night – it surely will be my WoW time over time spent with my girlfriend.
In that case, raiding will have to stop. wow gold But I'm not there already (at least I think, 'she' might have a different opinion). I have known some people to stop when the content progressed to a point where they were having to work more than they were used to.

End of the road

"In this situation, further departures harm the guild even more, especially if you're an officer. Your choice is to try and convince people that you can keep everything together, that the guild will pull through and that everything will be every right ?or to walk absent, knowing you have worked to your limit trying to fix things. Walking absent isn't easy. You're leaving behindhand players you have raided with for months or years, people who relied on you and who may never forgive you deserting in the 'hour of need'. But on the other hand, what if most of the players you genuinely respected have already gone. There will ever be some players who deserve more, but as that number gets smaller it's easier to leave. Sometimes fresh murder is the respond. Let the jaded officers go and reform with a stronger management team, clearly defined roles, people willing to do what it takes to get the guild running again. The enthusiasm and belief in the guild brought in by these people is far more powerful than forcing someone who doesn't want to be there to 'stick it out' and take on even more work to fix things. It might involve a few sweptback steps, but ultimately provides a more solid grounding for the expansion. The other deciding, which we've seen time and again, is to simply break up the guild. Go casual, keep the guild lable for nostalgia but let the serious raiders find new homes. Perhaps merge with someone else, but ultimately, put the guild out of its misery and give people the freedom to move on without guilt or regret. It's up to the guild to decide which is prizewinning. Combining forces could be an option Of course, many guilds aren't going through this and sometimes it's clear to see why.
Strong, counterpoised officer teams, well number raiders who care most progress and performance over loot, an influx of high-performing recruits to take the place of those who naturally leave; every these seem to make a guild that lasts. wow gold So if you're building a raid guild for the future, make your foundations solid and don't pile everything on one or two people who will inevitably burn out. And so, what destination for an endgame raider, ex-officer, ex-raid leader and every round dogsbody. To enjoy the silence and peace of the real world for a while. To reroll with a guild full of like-minded people. wow gold Or to transfer somewhere else, and enjoy the simplicity of excelling at your class without having to deal with the clamours of the kindergarten for once. Rerolling is tough but many people have found success with rerolls This, in and of itself, is an discussion for PvE to PvP transfers. Far too many players have gone through similar processes to this, partly due to the lack of PvE recruits ?and are now themselves stuck, excellent players with brilliant gear, but unable to be the prizewinning they can simply due to choosing the wrong type of server three years past. buy wow gold With guilds like Juggernaut rerolling entirely on PvP, the situation is decent extreme ?there may be hope in specific cases but unless Blizzard change their mind and go backwards on months of denial, those of us on PvE realms have to stick it out. Our choices are to deal with the problems of finding well recruits with only a fraction of the playerbase to draw from, or give up and reroll. " WOW now "In this column I've talked most what makes raid guilds as a whole break up, but not what makes individuals decide raiding isn't for them.
Having seen multiple guilds go through this process en masse recently, and breaking up as a result, here's a point-of-view on raiding and when it's time to stop or move on, supported on personal experience in a European PvE guild. As a long-term raider staying in one guild, one tends to draw responsibility. wow gold Capable people, or those with time and the willingness to help, gravitate towards the top ?those who can play their class as well as multitask embellish raid leaders, while others might help out with rotations, DKP, logging or the guild slope. However, people leave over time for a number of reasons, and the officer group is at a high risk of having members burn out as the responsibilities beyond raiding take their thankless toll. Without finding competent replacements, or with new officers deferring to their seniors and thus not reducing the workload at every, it's easy for the guild's cares and woes to rest on one or two pairs of shoulders. All the raid leading and management end up resting with a couple of people who embellish increasingly jaded with the situation. When you reach the point when you, as an officer, have no desire to log in due to the impending headaches that will land at your feet; when you watch the clock during raids; when, frankly, raiding becomes on a par to a intense job you can't wait to quit ?then no wonder it becomes difficult to motivate others through tough periods, too. mp3 players But why is this time particularly tough. The requirements of Sunwell have taken their toll on many guilds With the achievement of summer, even more raiders have quit nudity or taken breaks so they can go on vacation or get on with RL. This happens everywhere, but some guilds are existence crippled by having key players leave, causing others to follow because the place isn't the same without them. wow gold Going from smooth error-free performance to breaking in new recruits (who aren't the number you hoped, but the recruitment pool on PvE especially has dried up)
